One thing for certain is that you never know for certain what the weather is going to be like in the Litchfield Hills. If you watch the weather reports it may do what they say it is going to do or it may not. Perhaps the best way to know what the weather is would be just look outside. Today the weather is constantly changing from snow to sleet and then perhaps to rain and then snow again. One thing for certain is that we can't be certain about the weather. What we can be certain about is the One who is responsible for the weather. We can place our faith and trust in God to lead and guide us in the way we should go. I hope that you are placing your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ who is our anchor through the storms of life.
By the way, at this point, 12 noon on Wednesday February 24, 2010 we are having all scheduled activities at church tonight. If this changes we will put a notice on the web site.
Please be in prayer Jim Hilton and family as they mourn the loss of our dear sister in Christ and most loved Terri Hilton. A celebration of Terri's life will be held Monday, March 1, 2010 at 7:00 PM. The family will receive friends in the sanctuary from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. The "Terri Hilton Memorial Fund" has been established to help defray final expenses. Gifts may be sent to Friendship Baptist Church P.O. Box 1482 Litchfield, CT 06759.
Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline, communion without confession, absolution without personal confession. Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate.

My question Mr. Pruitt is what it was about my blog that caused you to make the comment about Cheap grace. The only grace that I teach or preach is a Grace that is very expensive. The Grace that God offers cost the life of His one and only Son. He did the hard work and asks that first we come to him by faith. That faith when it is genuine is followed by works. Ephesians 2:8&9 are followed by v. 10 "for we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works". Commitment of our eternal destiny and our complete faith and trust in Jesus alone as the One who died for our sins is necessary and sufficient for our salvation.
